Each year, Leon County Superintendent Rocky Hanna holds a Superintendent’s Teacher Leader Academy for 120 district faculty members who have shown leadership potential and prepares them for the next school year through a session of intense workshops. These faculty members are the school department and team leaders, school deans, potential assistant principals and future leaders in the district. This three-day event consists of guest speakers, lectures, new school programs and brainstorming sessions among attendees.
