The Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, World Class Schools, and Leon County Schools are proud to launch Classroom Connection, an opportunity for local Tallahassee/Leon County businesses and organizations to support our students through adoption and sponsorship of kindergarten classrooms.
As part of the Chamber’s focus on community, prosperity, and education, we are excited to form this partnership to assist our teachers, schools, and parents of kindergarten students in the foundation of reading, math, social and emotional skills developed during their first year of elementary school.
These early skills are necessary for success in school, health, career, and life and we hope that every child has the opportunity to obtain the lifelong advantages of literacy and learning. Children who start kindergarten with grade-level skills or higher are ready for a successful and satisfying education. They start ahead and stay ahead.
